Co-founder of the Bio-Inspired Computational Intelligence Group.

IEEE CEC 2019 Call for papers Special Session on Adaptive Swarm Intelligence Algorithms.

My primary research interest is to develop practical and efficient computational intelligence algorithms for various challenging problems, and especially computationally expensive optimization problems. In particular, I am focusing on evolutionary computation and swarm Intelligence algorithms. I am also interested in neural computation, especially using evolutionary algorithms/PSO to evolve artificial neural networks for machine learning applications.

A number of students are/have been involved with my research, either at graduate level, research assistantships, or undergraduate 4F90 Honors projects.
