RESEARCH
My research is funded by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)
.
My on-going industry research collaboration is supported by the Brock-Niagara Validation, Prototyping and Manufacturing Institute (VPMI) and the Government of Canada through FedDev Ontario.
My primary research interest is to develop practical and efficient computational intelligence algorithms for various
challenging problems, and especially computationally expensive optimization problems. In particular, I am focusing on
evolutionary computation and swarm Intelligence algorithms. I am also interested in neural computation,
especially using evolutionary algorithms/PSO to evolve artificial neural networks for machine learning
applications.
