MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY

Since being a computer science student at Brock University implies in 98% of the time being stuck indoors, there was no way this author was going to attempt to do something with the indoors.  Then came the idea of having a drive around a place a computer science student would only have the chance in seeing in a documentary on A&E.com.  And that is how MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY got started!! :)

Description:

The first challenge was to set the background. To start I set a mountain in the background and I used one of the materials given by Bryce 5 for a material for the mountain.  Next I created the trees in front of the mountain, these trees are visible in the background when the car goes by, also I created a little scene in the middle of the screen with trees and rocks surrounding them.

The final challenge was to create the car, in total there were 10 objects that were used to build the car, the red colored car was built from scratch with 1 3d-cube, 4 tori, three flat 2d plates, as well as two lights.  The two lights were used to represent the headlights for the car and the other pieces were manipulated manually to make the shape of a car.  For easier use and movement all objects were linked to the 3d cube, since it's the biggest part of all.

As for the movement of the car, a wheel track provided by Bryce 5 was used and the cube was constrained to the track for easier movement and manipulation.

The animations is of a 240 x 180 resloution with 24 frames per second totaling 24 seconds.
