COVID-19: Changes and updates for Computer Science




The Department of Computer Science hopes that all students, staff, and faculty take heed with official recommendations regarding the COVID-19 situation. The primary goal is for everyone to keep healthy, and observe social distancing and hygiene guidelines. Please monitor Brock's Brock COVID-19 Information pages for University wide policies and updates. The Department is committed to helping students complete their courses during this historic episode. Please regularly read your Brock email for course-specific instructions by your professors.  Please watch this page for department-specific news.

  • All APCO/COSC labs are closed until further notice.
  • For information on remote access to Sandcastle, as well as files stored there (your Z: drive in the Windows labs), please see our Help Centre pages. 

Academic Advising

  • Three upper year electives available for students: Please check the links for further information.
  • Two courses for year 3 or 4 students: EMAIL Stephanie Brooks ( if interested.

      Super accelerated - May 4-May 15 - daily requirements
    • SPMA 4P97 - Analysis of the Canadian Hockey Industry  - Professor Julie Stevens 
      Week of May 4 through week of June 29. 

Dear students: Brock is offering three options for your Final Grades for this term. Please follow this link for details:

  • COSC 1P03 Spring: New space has been opened up as of the afternoon of March 19, 2020. Please let Donna ( know if you are having trouble registering in the course.
  • COSC 2P12 Spring: Will NOT be running for the Spring 2020 session. For students who were unsuccessful with their Fall term, they will need to re-take COSC 2P12 in the Fall 2020 session.
