COSC students present at the CIBCB 2017 conference in Manchester, UK

A number of current and former Brock students attended the 2017 IEEE Conference on Computational Intelligence in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in Manchester, UK. Graduate student Tyler Kennedy Collins presented the paper "Single-Objective and Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithms for Compression of Biological Networks". Undergraduate student Lindsey Tulloch presented the paper "Evaluation of the Salmon Algorithm". Finally, Professor Sheridan Houghten presented the paper "Hybridization and Ring Optimization for Larger Sets of Embeddable Biomarkers". Brock graduates Dr. Joseph Brown (now at Innopolis University), James Hughes (now at Western University) and Ethan Jackson (now at Western University) also all presented papers at the conference.
