Fun with csound: by Hira Aftab

The purpose behind this composition is to experiment around with different techniques in CSound. The main objective was to explore and have fun with CSound, since the only way to create music is to be creative with it and experiment. The sound of drum instrument was taken from http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/csound/instruments/simple_drum.html and other simple instruments were also created using tutorials from CSounds Chapter1 as a reference. The sound files used have been taken from CSoundBook Chapter1 source files. To contour the loudness during the course of each note,an additional unit generator "linen" has been used.

Instruments used:

a. instr 1 :- used to create sound of a drum

b. instr 105 :- sample-based looping oscillator

c. instr 106 :-  another sample-based looping oscillator

d. instr 107 :- a third sample-based looping oscillator

Flow diagram:

wav files used were "Marimba.aif" , " sing.aif",  "hellorcb.aif" .All three files were taken from CSoundBook Chapter 1 sample files.

Enveloping was applied to the output of each instrument to remove clicks  etc
