The composition begins with a Tibetan Meditation Bowl. This sound was sampled on my iBook with Spark ME software by TCWorks there was no post-processing done on "begin.aiff"
the minor drone was generated by Syd on my Mac. Post-processing was done in SoundHack, to add a second channel and gate the higher buzzing to give it a more 'rumbly' sound. A binaural filter was applied to give it that moving around your head effect - "minordrones2aiffGATEBNMV.aiff"
the tabla loop, "indi_120c.aiff" was found at www.platinumloops.com a royalty-free source for samples
the granular synthesis that appears twice is originally by Hans Mikelson a very useful g.synth since it's pannable and has flexible parameters
finally the original instrument is a simple CSound FM Bell, fmbell I added a second channel and since the p-fields don't seem to allow for frequency change, I created a second instrument that plays at D
the song was composed on a dual-G4 450 PowerMac in OS X using CSoundMacPPC version 4.23
