(WMV format, 14.4MB)

The whole animation has been constructed by Poser, Photoshop and AudioEdit Deluxe. The CG animation is about 1435 frames in 30 frames per second. That means the whole movie play in 48 seconds. Just consider my computer could render 1 frame at around 45 seconds, I rendered the whole animation at about 18 hours and it was longer than I expected.

Dancing Scene 1 The whole animation was creating by a bunch of small sections that takes about 3 to 5 seconds per each one. Depending on the objects in the animation, the time required to render the single scene can vary from medium to long time. For instance, if the scene involved with some detailed objects for texture mapping, it would take longer for rendering than just a simple thing, such as a box or plane. Besides, if the scene involved with complex light effects, it would take even much longer since it required to render 3 different light settings in each frame.

I used Poser to key the action frames for the characters. Albert the Bamba, QQ the Kitten and Alfred the Rabbit had the most actions since they were the main characters. I used most time to key their frames with smooth movements and actions. I also needed to key the frames for the mouth movements for Albert. Basically, I just kept moving Albert's mouth in every 15 frames when the background music was on. The movements for the 3 aliens were always the same in a long period of time except at the beginning. They just changed different poses 3 times in the whole show.

Dancing Scene 2 Photoshop played an important role in this animation project. I used it to add graphics and texts in the textures. For example, I applied 'Albert the Bamba' texts and Albert's head with nice effects on the stone texture. I also used Photoshop to change the size and minimize the texture images. The second helper was AudioEdit Deluxe. It converted my La Bamba MP3 audio into wave format since Poser only accepted wave audio format. It also assisted me for audio edit, such as chopping the length size and adjusting the volume of the audio.

Here are the specifications for the AVI video clip:

Specifications:
Frame width - 500 pixels
Frame height - 400 pixels
Play length - 47.834 seconds
Frame count - 1435
Frame rate - 30 fps
Video sample - 16 bit

I referenced most of the knowledge from the web and it provided me some major fundamental ideas in Poser. Here are the web sites:
