Scene Components

USS Ross: Aircraft carrier.
The carrier is made up of hundreds of pieces and took forever to create.
9 of the radar pieces rotate independently of each other and there are
two functional elevators.

F-14 Horse: Airplane.
The plane is composed of dozens of parts and features working jet engines
Please pay special attention to the rear fin decals.

Air crew: 1 pilot, 2 crew members.
The pilot runs out of his cabin and gets in his jet, then takes off to defend the universe.
The crew ride the elevators, ensuring the planes are functional and gassed up.

The Sea: 2 Layers of water with waves and sea textures.
The sea has 2 rippling layers of textured water

The Land: Sandy beaches at the base of mountainous landscapes.
The land was created using a height map to determine where the high and low
points were.

The white area represent higher points, whereas the dark areas
represent lower points.
These height maps were then mapped onto a plane object in 3DS MAX, which
created nice rolling planes.

The Sky: Hemispheric enclosure textured with a sky.

The Sun: Lens Effect "Glow".
